Sudden availability of an EPSRC-funded PhD studentship to be held at the
Centre for Virtual Environments, University of Salford.
Possible topics include planning in virtual environments and virtual
agents.
Open to any UK 'home' student with a 2(1) in a degree with a substantial
computing content or a 2(2) and an MSc in computing.
The Centre of Virtual Environment at Salford University has been
established to develop a focused programme of teaching, research and
technology transfer. The Centre has access to state-of-the-art VR
facilities and VR laboratories (See http://www.salford.ac.uk/cve/ for
more detail). The Centre has received 3 million pounds worth of
state-of-the-art VR equipment including a Cave an Onyx2 Infinite
Reality2 five pipe Rack System, a Relocatable Reality Centre and a
immersive workbench. You will be working with a highly motivated staff
and research team within the Centre.
