International Workshop on Complex Systems in
Natural and Social Sciences
October 14 - October 17, 1999,
Kazimierz Dolny, Poland
PURPOSE OF CSNSS'99 WORKSHOP
The purpose of the CSNSS'99 workshop is to bring together multidisciplinary
groups of scientists working on applications of complex systems and
nonlinear dynamics in physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics,
sociology, economy and finance. The workshop will be a continuation of the
series of similar meetings that took place in Hungary (Matrafured 1995, Tata
1996 and Budapest 1997) and it is intended to provide a forum to report
research, discuss emerging topics and gain new insights into:
- stochastic models of financial markets and option pricing
- collective character of opinion formation processes
- tests for determinism and nonlinear models of economical phenomena
- nonlinear econometrics
- synergetic and thermodynamical studies of socio-economical systems
- chaos in biology and medicine
- nonlinear models in physics and chemistry
- control of deterministic chaos.
A key motivation is to provide a common ground for an open dialogue as well
as for reporting research without favouring any particular research
constituency nor any specific way of modelling or issue in this area.
CSNSS'99 will seek to further the meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas
between physicists, chemists, mathematicians, finance experts, economists
and sociologists.
You can find more information and register on the WWW-site of workshop:

Registration and abstract submission DEADLINE is 30. June 1999.
