In clarifying the earlier answers;
If an overseas qualified applicant wishes to work in the UK then as
Ralph Hammond suggests they should contact the CPSM and apply as
outlined. However this does not allow the individual to call
themselves a chartered physiotherapist. It does however allow them
to work in the NHS.
Chartered Physiotherapist is a term used by memebers of the Chartered
Society of physiotherapy (CSP). Whilst it is not necessary to belong
to the CSP, memebership does construe various benefits including
union representation and personal liability insurance. Those working
in the UK who are not members of the csp may wish to investigate
their own PLI and union representation.
