Hi all--

What I've seen for the 13th century in England is in line with what Shannon
has stated for the fifteenth, although the records aren't quite so detailed.
However, illustrations of marriages in manuscripts from the thirteenth
century rarely show bride or groom attired in anything which might seem
"distinctive." Colors seem to be similar to what other figures are wearing.
I've also looked at depictions of marriages in Italian art, and again, there
seems no consitency as to color choice.
