Apologies for Cross Posting
Colleagues may be interested to receive a selection of contents from the
current volume of International Journal of Social Welfare (Formerly
Scandinavian Journal of Social Welfare)
It has become evident that major social forces of a global nature - such as
demographic trends, migration patterns and the globalization of the economy
- are reshaping social welfare policies and social work practices the world
over. In recognition of these changes, the Scandinavian Journal of Social
Welfare has been relaunched as the International Journal of Social Welfare
to provide an international and interdisciplinary forum for the study of
social welfare and related fields.
To support its new international orientation, the IJSW will be edited out of
Stockholm and Berkeley, with Sven Hessle, Department of Social Work,
Stockholm University, as Editor, and Neil Gilbert, School of Social Welfare,
University of California at Berkeley, as Chairman of the Editorial Board.
