Hi All,
This thread is running and running.
If you want Derive to default to degrees then using my computer go to the
Derive directory. Find the file Dfw.ini (or Derive.ini if using the DOS
version), double click on this file. It should open in notepad, goto the
section [Algebra State Variables] and change the setting Angle=Radian to
Angle=Degree. Save this file.
Alternatively, open Derive (any version):
In the windows version go to Declare, Algebra State, Simplification and
change the Angular unit feild to Degree
Now exit Derive and click on yes to the Save state variables in ???.MTH as
the new default.
In the DOS version, select Manage, Trigonometry then tab to the Angle field
and select Degree. Now select Transfer, Save State, then press enter.
Now Derive will default to degrees!!! But handle with care (see other
emails)
Cheers
Terence
