Well, sometimes you want to embed _several_ different languages using
different character set encodings in the _same_ metadata record.
Here is how I would catalogue a multilingual web-based game where the use
can select his or her language of choice when logging on to the site:
<dc:title>
<rdf:Alt>
<rdf:li xml:lang="en">English Title</rdf:li>
<rdf:li xml:lang="de" xml:encoding="ISO-8859-1">German title</rdf:li>
<rdf:li xml:lang="pl" xml:encoding="ISO-8859-2">Polish title</rdf:li>
<rdf:li xml:lang="eo" xml:encoding="ISO-8859-3">Esperanto title</rdf:li>
<rdf:li xml:lang="i-sami-no" xml:encoding="ISO-8859-4">Lappish
title</rdf:li>
<rdf:li xml:lang="ru" xml:encoding="ISO-8859-5">Russian title</rdf:li>
<rdf:li xml:lang="el" xml:encoding="ISO-8859-7">Greek title</rdf:li>
</rdf:Alt>
</dc:title>

Fine. I'll use it then.
