Dear listmembers,
I've come across another rather mysterious phrase in this
sixteenth-century English text - 'corpus case', as something which a dying
person could give to someone as a gift to remember them by. Does anyone
know if it was possible, common for nuns to have a personal container for
the host(?!) It doesn't really make a lot of sense to me, but can;t think
what else it might be.
Thanks for the interesting discussion of Undemila etc re: Ursula and her
band, BTW.
