Has anyone made (and reported ?) an estimate of what percentage of the
research articles appearing in the refereed medical journals which relate to
the effectiveness of specific interventions, have findings which are are
sufficiently robust (in terms of methodological quality and significance) to
justify taking some action to adjust practice without further supporting
evidence ? I seem to recall hearing a figure of 3%.
