Sophie, you are spot on. Pain on walking is one red flag, plus pain on
applying bending stress to femur in exactly the setup you described sitting
on edge of chair are enough to warrant triple phase bone scan immediately.
Don't wait for an xray, may be eqivocal anyway, bone scan extremely
sensitive in detecting early signs of stress reaction in bone. Keep us
posted on her progress
