MRC-funded Advanced Course Studentship for 1999/2000

MSc in Epidemiology

One studentship will be available from October 1999 for
MSc in Epidemiology.
The MSc in Epidemiology course was designed to address the training
requirements for contemporary public health and for health services
research. It was launched in October 1995, and has proved successful
and popular. MSc Epidemiology is fully integrated within the
University of Edinburgh's well-established Postgraduate Programme in
Public Health Sciences, which averages about 40 students per year.
The course is suitable for graduates in:
sociology, social policy, anthropology, nursing, health economics,
psychology, statistics, biology, medicine or health sciences.

The MRC-funded studentship is open to UK or EU students. It covers
tuition fees, and for UK students only, also provides a maintenance
stipend of stlg6700.
Application forms for the studentship will be sent to all UK or EU
students who have already applied for MSc Epidemiology for October
1999. Anyone else who wishes to compete for the studentship should
complete the studentship application form and submit it at the same
time as applying for a place on MSc Epidemiology.
Such applications for the studentship should be received before
7 May 1999
