SEMINAR ANNOUNCEMENT.  Apologies for cross postings.

Following the success last year of the Information and Development 98
Seminar under the title of Information and
Developing/Emerging/Transitional Countries, the Institute of Information
Scientists (IIS) and the Information for Development Forum (IDF) are
running a related seminar this year.

Title: Funding of International Development Information and Knowledge
Activities.

Venue: London Voluntary Sector Resource Centre in Holloway.

Date: 9 June 1999.

Objective: The general aim is to raise the awareness of the full range
of funding sources available for international development information
and knowledge activities.  It will be of interest to all concerned with
development and related information/knowledge issues.  In particular it
will relate to information providers addressing new markets, users
wanting to access information/knowledge from areas which have
historically provided a number of problems and difficulties, and to
other development information/knowledge specialists and policy makers.
