Dear members:
Given the numerous causes of splenomegaly, the physician is usually
tempted, in particular that with less experience, to request many
diagnostic tests, that which implies increase of the economic cost, as much
for the patient as for the health system.
Therefore, we want to respond the following question clinic: in patient
with splenomegaly, which will the value of the signs/symptoms be that
accompany to the splenomegaly.
As you can see, we want not diagnose the splenomegaly but the illness that
originates it.
I have two queries:
1. - which would the gold standard be?
2. - do you know some study?
