Hello all.
The Coverage working group has deliberated hard on the current definition of
Coverage within Dublin Core, and has arrived at a new definition [1], which
is offered for comment from the broader community.
We would like to move on quickly to the second of our allotted tasks
(subelements), and would therefore be grateful if comments/criticisms could
reach us as soon as possible, and no later than 17:00 GMT on Thursday 18
March. The group will then revise its recommendation in the light of these
comments for final submission to the Technical and Policy Advisory
Committees.
Where comments are detailed, we would be grateful if you could address them
to the Coverage working group [2] rather than inundating the mailboxes of
dc-general members.
Those of you with comments to make who do not wish to join the dc-coverage
[2] list can route your comments through me, and I'd be grateful if you
could clearly mark them in cases where you DO want me to post them on to the
group.
Thanks in advance for your input, and MY sincere thanks to the members of
the working group for their efforts, on and off the list.
Paul
