I am investigating the possibility of using pre-printed signatures for the
cheques we produce. I would be very interested to find out how many
institutions do and don't use this.
     
A quick "Yes, we use it" or "No, we don't use it" reply to my email address
(below) would be great.
     
Even better, if your institution already uses pre-printed cheques and you
can spare a few minutes, could you please let me know:
* benefits you have found in using pre-printed cheques
* drawbacks
* approximate cost
* any security issues you have faced
* any reluctance by auditors to permit it
* any views you have on how it can/should be accomplished
* any other issues
     
I will summarise the information back to the list.
