>Marina is writing an article on a recent book by Francesca Duranti, *Effetti

Duranti gives

Dear George,
The reference probably means that the writing in question is printed in
Hugh's Opera omnia, Pars secunda: Dogmatica. This is at least where you
find it in Migne's edition which groups the Opera (PL 175-177) under the
four headings Exegetica, Dogmatica, Opuscula Mystica, and Epistolae, with
Appendices to the Dogmatica and Mystica. The passage in question is Hugh of
St. Victor, _De sacramentis_, I, 6, PL 176,283A: "Patet ergo quantae
amoenitatis locus ille fuit in quo natura hominis adhuc a corruptione
aliena foveri ac nutriri debuit, qui fontibus et fluminibus irriguis,
arboribus omnis generis frondosus et nemorosus, fructu tam pulchro ad
videndum quam suavi ad vescendum refertus praedicatur."
Good to have you back on-line!
