The Liberal Democrats are currently in the process of undertaking a
consultative exercise on their new policy document for debate at their
autumn party conference in Harrogate. The document is currently being
distributed to fifty disability organisations within the UK with formal
requests for feedback. However, this paper is a public document and anyone
with an interest in disability is invited to send their views and
suggestions to the party.
As a disabled person and (hence minority) member of the working party and
strong proponent of a social model approach, there seems to me to be a very
great need for disabled people to make contributions at every level. Hence
this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The document is not yet posted on the Net., but watch this space for details
of how to access it. Coming soon....
Sincerely,
F.M. Huxley-Williams (Ms.)
