Hello
The syllabus below is from a course I taught for several years at
Hunter College. It was for ma students in counseling and rehab. The
Society for Disability Styudies home page (www.uic.edu/orgs/sds)
provides access to, I think, other syllabi in different disciplines. I
will get to you, at some point, a syllabus for a course I am a
consultant on that merges disability studies and multicultural aspects
of counseling - let me know if that would be of interest)
I can also suggest as reference, my book Claiming Disability:
Knowledge and Identity (NYU Press, 1998) which is an examination of
disability studies as epistemology. It argues for grounding the study
of disability in the liberal arts, particularly in the humanities. If
I canbe of further help, let me know
