visit to LSE this term (see below). Officially, only the 'public lecture' is
open to all; but, check by email to Cathy Jones; there should be no problem
about showing up as long as numbers aren't too great !

Critical Studies of Cities & Regions
Professor Soja's lectures will be drawn from a recently completed book
manuscript that will be published by Blackwell in late 1999. The book
builds on his earlier volume, Thirdspace: Journeys to Los Angeles and Other
Real-and-Imagined Places (1996), and focuses on the new urbanization
processes that have been transforming the modern metropolis over the past
thirty years. Professor Soja, Urban Planning Department at The University
of California, Los Angeles, and is currently LSE Visiting Centennial
Professor at LSE.
