IN terms of the Statutory services it's how much overtime they can
raise from their charges , and in VAS terms if the event is big
enough you will be able to get cover by putting the word around
sufficiently early, local VAS politics not withstanding , the VAS tend
to be able to put large numbers of people out for certain events
given sufficient forethought.
Joint operations between SJA and BRC in Lincolnshire have solved any
fears of not being able to cover the County Show , total cover other
than 1 paramedic vehicle up there on the Lincs Ambulance Service
stand, with SJA/BRC control, and the crowd side of Waddington Airshow
( with ?three County paramedic units (and this year a response unit full
of officers ) with control provided by the Lincs Ambulance ICV. ( RAF
medical services are concentrated on MAJAX provision which sits there
waiting)
