The only info I've got is from 'Clinical Sports Medicine' by P Brukner and K
Khan
Sinding Larsen Johansson disease is a similar conditrion to Osgood Schlatters,
it is one of the grouyp of osteochondroses found in adolescents. It affects
the inferior pole of the patella at the suprerior attachment of the patellat
tendon. It is much less common than Osgood Schlatters but the same principles
of management apply.
As to management, I've never seen any one with it but previous experience with
Osgood Schlatters has found soft tissue mobs to the patella tendon and 'stiff'
components within the quads and general quads flexibility work. Splints or
taping to off load the patella tendon has also proved very useful. The common
thinking from conversation is it is an overuse problem therefore a good look
at sporting activities and lower limb biomechanics is a must
Good luck
hope that helped
