Still a few places left on the workshop:
Costing and pricing techniques
9 February * 12 October, London
More and more organisations are operating under purchaser or provider
internal trading arrangements and/or market testing, or comparing and
contrasting their costs with other providers.
As a manager you may now find yourself in a position where you have to
justify outcomes achieved against resources, or having to quote prices for
the use of your library/information units' services.
How can this event help you?
It will help you use costing and pricing techniques to manage your service
successfully including:
* identifying costs of your services
* evaluating the difference between cost and price
* setting prices
* identifying key management issues involved when working within the
purchaser/provider split, internal trading, market testing and competitive
tendering regimes
* building your confidence in costing and quoting prices for your
services.
By the end of the day you will be able to:
* identify ways of breaking down costs and allocate them to different
functions
* calculate hourly rates you should charge for professional advice
Who will benefit from attending?
Those with 36 months continuous budget management experience or those who
have attended the 'Financial techniques and skills' workshop.
