Hi All,
Within the framework of the DONOR-project metadatagenerator we are
investigating the outputoption of metadata -n XML/RDF syntax.
There is one problem though, with the syntax of the 'scheme' qualifier:
'scheme', like 'lang' are HTML 4.0 attributes.
Within the XML namespace 'lang' is specified, but 'scheme' is not. Neither
is it in RDF nor DC namespaces, as far as I could find in the
documentation.
The question is: Where or how is 'scheme' going to be defined and what is
the correct syntax?
Itried Reggie in December last.
Reggie output showed the following syntax:
for the lang qualifier:
<DC:Description xml:lang="nl">
Tekst
</DC:Description>
which I think is correct
for the scheme qualifier:
<DC:Language DC:Scheme="RFC1766">
nl
</DC:Language>
which seems incorrect, as 'scheme' is not defined as a DC.element (at
least in DC.simple) In the DC-pages at purl.org there is no info yet on
the DC Schema's.
TIA
Regards, Henk
