We have a case in Tas, whereby as our "000" calls from mobiles cannot be
located by control, (which is in Melbourne) an ambulance was depatched to a
copycat adress in Victoria whil a trauma patient died waiting for the
vehicle. It seems the "call center" concept has run ahead of the technology,
and despite our warning years ago, that emergency calls must have a local
input to the response, the chickens have come home..............
