British Library's St Pancras Reading Rooms
Closed 15 - 20th March 1999
****************************
The British Library regrets that it has been unable to persuade the
Public and Commercial Services Union to return to the negotiating
table and that the Union members who are responsible for delivering
books to readers are remaining on strike. This means that the
Library's St Pancras Reading Rooms will have to remain closed during
the week 15 - 20 March 1999.
The Library deeply regrets the inconvenience this will cause our many
readers and would like to reassure them that we are committed to
bringing this dispute to an end as soon as possible.
The Library's other facilities at St Pancras including exhibition
galleries, restaurant and bookshop are not affected by the dispute and
remain open.
Further information is available on the Library's website www.bl.uk
and from Reader Services, telephone 0171 412 7676
