MANAGEMENT GIS ANALYST POSITION IN SAN FRANCISCO

Farallon Geographics, Inc. has an immediate opening for
a management-level GIS Analyst in our San Francisco
office. The primary responsibilities of this GIS Analyst
position include managing large GIS projects (including
client management) and overseeing the completion of
technical project deliverables on budget and on schedule.
The successful applicant will manage the existing GIS
workflows for each of our primary market sectors, and will
be responsible for developing and documenting new technical workflows.
Qualifications:
We value strong management skills built upon an
excellent hands-on understanding of enterprise-level,
desktop-level, and internet-based GIS tools. Consequently,
the minimum qualifications required for this position are:
*An innate love of maps and computer-based mapping technologies
*BS in a science or engineering field (MS preferred)
*Proficiency in either Microstation or AutoCAD
*Proficiency in managing either Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle RDMS
*Demonstrated GIS project management experience
*Demonstrated ability to quickly master new computer applications and
languages
*Demonstrated expertise in at least one enterprise-level
GIS (Intergraph MGE preferred)
*Demonstrated ability and interest in supporting business development
efforts
*Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor project staff
*Map production expertise
