I lost the CDROM with the my NAG F95 compiler on it, after I upgraded
my computer I asked them if they could help me out.
I was informed that it would cost me $205 dollars to replace the CDROM,
$100 for the disk, and another $105 for "back support", whatever the
hell that is. A similar thing happened a few years back with MS, and
they only charged me $25 for replacement disks.
As it turns out, the compiler I received only 18 months ago is no longer
compatible with the latest versions of Linux which would have forced me
into a $600 upgrade anyway.
It was really cute too how the manager in one breath was explaining how
they were screwing me, and in the next breath was asking me to "tell all
my friends about their exciting new products". My advice is to stay away
from NAG.
