Scotland and Romanticism
MLA Conference - 27-30 December 1999
The Wordsworth-Coleridge Association invites papers for its sessions at
the MLA Convention in Chicago, December 27-30,
1999. 15-minute papers should address the general theme of "Scotland and
Romanticism," with particular attention to such
topics as: Scottish writers of the Romantic period; Representations of
Scotland in British Romanticism; Scottish travels and
tours; New directions in Scottish literature, culture, and science
during the Romantic period.
If you wish to present a paper, we will need the following information:
1. Paper Title.
2. Abstract (circa 300 words).
3. Your name (please indicate the preferred form for publication.)
4. Your full academic title and department.
5. Your current academic affiliation.
6. Your phone, fax, and e-mail contacts.

NOTE: All program participants must be members of MLA by April 1, 1999.
No funding is available for travel to the MLA
Convention. The MLA membership requirement may be waived for
participants who reside outside the United States and
Canada.
