For those wishing to learn more about what the Research Libraries Group
(RLG) is doing to provide access to collection level records (over 500K)
and encoded finding aids (over 7,000) across its membership, please go to
our web pages at: http://www.rlg.ac.uk/arr/index.html. There you will find
a description of what we're doing to improve access to these materials as
well as sample screens from the service.
RLG is a non-profit international membership consortium supporting over 165
libraries, archives, and museums worldwide. Currently, 20 UK and Ireland
universities are RLG members as are the Public Record Office, the National
Art Library, the Natural History Museum, the Wellcome Institute for the
History and Understanding of Medicine, the British Library, the National
Library of Scotland and the National Library of Wales. Many of these
members contribute their encoded finding aids to RLG's Archival Resources
Service.
