A2A ACCESS TO ARCHIVES: THE NETWORK INITIATIVE FOR ENGLAND
The first of the two A2A workshops to look at the issues
surrounding the retro-conversion of hard copy finding aids
takes place at the PRO on Thursday 29 April between 2 and
4pm. Repositories which have not yet responded to the
invitation to attend the Kew workshop are urged to do so by
5pm tomorrow (Tuesday) so that that I can add them to the
list of attendees. Heads of repositories or their
representatives wishing to attend the Lancashire RO
workshop at Preston on 5 May (also between 2-4) are reminded
to respond if they haven't already done so. If your
repository isn't able to attend either session, but would
like to express an interest in the network, please do let
me know. As I write, we have had 106 responses, and 90
repositories will be represented at the workshop events.
Please do contact me for further information, or if
there are issues which you'd like to see addressed
at the workshops. Details about A2A and its methodology are
available in the message sent to this list on 15 April.
