BFN stands for British Forces network I assume, ATN perhaps
American troops network? Might be worth checking out the
German Embassy/ Foreign and Commonwealth Office
co-production on Anglo-German relations, Die Kreuzung und
der Kreisverkehr (also in English) by Thomas Kielinger...
