Hello
I wonder if someone can help me regarding a letter to 'The Times' c. 1910
which was written by colonel someone-or-other.
He stated that he had taken the advice of the minister for roads and cut
his hedges back to improve visibility for motorists. He found that this
increased the frequency of accidents at the adjacent junction. Accordingly
he intended to allow his hedges to grow again.
I recall reading about it in a book or periodical some 4 or 5 years ago but
neglected to note the reference.
Any info?
Kind regards
Pascal Desmond.
