Enthusiastic about green transport?
Allott and Lomax are long-established consulting engineers, with our
head office in Manchester. Among our transport specialities are
projects which promote a better environment for cycling - more than
sixty projects in the last five years, including writing the model
cycling strategy recommended for use by local authorities preparing
Local Transport Plans. A major factor in our success is the
enthusiasm of the small team in Allott's Birmingham Office, all
regular cyclists.
The accelerated national interest in green transport means that we are
looking for a graduate to join the team at Birmingham immediately.
Her or his enthusiasm and commitment are the most important attributes
we are looking for, although we would like to hear about any relevant
experience and academic record. While much of the work will involve
identifying networks of routes for cyclists and other ways of
encouraging cycling, we also work in accident studies, traffic
modelling, green transport plans, traffic impact assessments, safer
routes to school and traffic calming.
