Dear All,
Apologies for the delay in replying to Neil's original
posting. I have just completed my PHD (and
awaiting a viva!) entitled 'A critical ethnography of
tourism entrepreneurship and social change in Gran
Canaria', and have been working as research fellow at
the Centre for Leisure and Tourism Studies at the
University of N. London (UK) for the past 10 mths.
My research interests lie in the field of
politics, political economy and tourism development,
with particular reference to the western Mediterranean.
I am currently looking at issues to do with resort
development, migration, labour relations and the
politics of heritage conservation, mostly in the Canary
Islands.
I am particularly interested in making contact with
academic colleagues in the Med/Latin America who are
working on similar topics.
Regards,
Raoul
