Not entirely. You should have no problems as long as you only run
matlab
on linux. If you want to have a license manager on linux that serves
a heterogeneous network (eg Sun's, SGI's, etc) then you will run into
an undocumented problem: Mathworks changed the format of the linux
license file between versions 4.2 and 5.0. It took me weeks to sort
this
out, and Mathworks finally coughed up another passcode for my Sun
(running the license manager on a linux box). Actually I run FreeBSD,
which emulates linux -- but that's another story.
