Dear SPMers
May I send this message again, it seems like it did not look as very
tentative until now. Just tell me if its crazy or if questions are not well
formulated.
Help would be greatly appreciated for some basics understandings in
Eff/Funct connectivity.
1- When looking at regions correlated with the activity of one area using
its activity as the covariate (in fact spm_reagions was used), the region
itself and at least a small surrounds of correlated activity can be seen.
However, it happens twice that the source region did not covariate with
itself. The other covariates were only the main effect and the interaction
of both (PPI). Have I done something wrong (twice) ?
2- Could the regions correlating with another be view as functionally
connected ?
3- If true, can the results be use as the ROI for PPI (the interaction) ?
In another word, are all effective connections include within the
functional ones (but the reverse is not true) ?
4- Positive as well as negative correlations with the source region as well
as its interaction with another one or a psychological factor are supposed
to assess a connection : thus, should F stat be preferred rather than T ?
Thanks for any help in those week end thoughts, doubts and questions ;-)
Sincerely
Jack
