Dear Robert,
If you know the image size of the activation map (typically 64x64, 128x128,
or 256x256 for a single slice) you can open the raw .img file directly into
Photoshop. I do this by issuing the command, FILE, OPEN, select image
format RAW, select SHOW ALL FILES, type in the dimensions of the image
(i.e., 64x64 etc), CHANNELS COUNT: 1, BIT DEPTH (for me 16 bits, or 2 bytes
per voxel), BYTE ORDER MACINTOSH (for me, probably for you too unless you
are importing from LINUX), and header size 0 (for .img files which have a
separate header).
