OPERATIONAL RESEARCH AND STATISTICS (CORAS)
RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Post available for 15 months from 1 January 2000
Salary: £16,286 - £18,185 per annum
Applicants are invited for the post of research assistant to work
on an EPSRC funded project developing a prototype condition
based maintenance decision support system. The work will
involve further development of models established to describe
condition based maintenance and development of the associated
software package using, e.g Visual Basic or other suitable visual
programming languages.
Applicants should have a first degree or higher qualification in a
quantitative subject which includes some Operational Research
and Statistical modelling techniques. Experience in reliability and
maintenance modelling and in software development would be
an advantage. There is a possibility for the person appointed to
register for a research degree. The post is available for 15
months, to start on 1 January 2000 or earlier.
