Apologies for resurrecting an old topic, but I have just joined the list and have some catching up to do.
In my small way, I have been doing a little surveying and more re-mapping of parts of some of the Nenthead mines, using Winkarst where necessary for the 3D, but mostly MapMaker, which is 2D but multi-layered, works with National Grid coordinates and allows overlay of eg scanned-in OS maps, as well as the pre-existing mine plans on which most of my things are based. It also allows me to make nice printouts at any scale on (2D) paper. I would of course be happy to share the notes and maps I have (there's not much point otherwise). Much of the new information has been contributed by others. There must be a lot of people doing much the same thing up there, with a lot of duplication.
