Interesting comments by the vicar of Beasts but, it makes me wonder what the
role of the church has been historically in the mining industry. It is well
known that Brigham Young was against mining in early Utah but, quickly
changed the stance of the church when it came to how much money mining could
bring into Utah. It seems the devil was paying his dues
The 1872 mining law is a historical document that was base on English Common
Law. Could it be that Gisa is a Christian concept. I wonder if religion
played much of a role in the Egyptian gold consumption. There have been
several books written about gems stones of the Bible. How about the use of
minerals by the Moslems or maybe Buda with an emerald navel stone?
Looking for comments from the lunkers on this one.
