TWO LECTURESHIPS IN CULTURAL HISTORY
£16,655-£29,048 per annum, pay award pending
Cultural History at Aberdeen draws upon anthropology,
history of science, philosophy and studies in literature
and visual culture to develop distinctive research and
teaching. Candidates with interests in any area of Cultural
History are invited to apply. You should have already
completed or be near completion of a Doctorate, and
have either a proven research record or demonstrable
potential for high level interdisciplinary research and
publication. You should also have teaching competence
to contribute within the broad area of European culture
during the last 400 years.
The first post is available from 1st January, 2000. A
permanent appointment may be made for the appropriate
candidate and is for five years in the first instance.
The second post is available from 1st January, 2000, and
is for one year in the first instance. It is anticipated
that interviews for both posts will be held in September,
1999.
