Tate British Art Information Project
This exciting initiative was conceived as an integral part of the creation
of Tate Britain. Alongside the provision of new gallery spaces, we believe
it is essential to make images and information about our collections much
more accessible, from any location. At the heart of this is our
determination to create a fully indexed visual database for 50,000 British
works of art, including the Turner bequest. BAIP will help form the basis
for a range of new public information and education services delivered both
at the Gallery and through the Web.
Following the appointment of a Project Manager, we now seek two senior team
members to play pivotal roles in assisting with project development and
delivery. Both will be expected to have a keen interest in computerised
public access systems, together with experience of staff management and a
record of setting and working to deadlines.
