Hi chaps
We're looking for some means of copying old bound volumes of annual
reports. These are on deposit to the county record office and naturally
they will not let us photocopy them as the bindings are too tight /
fragile. The obvious answer is a hand-scanner and a laptop. In these
days of cheap flat-bed scanners the former are proving harder to find
than hen's teeth. Anybody got any ideas on this one? Or how about the
wonderful gizmo I read about that comprises a thin sensitive sheet that
can be slipped into a book without opening it and will scan the pages
into a computer? Sounds very cool and very expensive...
All suggestions welcome.
