Dear all,

The ACTS TAPESTRIES project is organizing the 2nd International
Workshop on Presence, to be held on April 6-7 1999 at the University of
Essex, Colchester, UK.

Topics include the structure and measurement of presence, its relation
to performance, and its application in the fields of communication and 
learning.

The workshop promises to be an exciting and interesting event with a
wide variety of submissions and invited talks from Mel Slater (UCL),
Steve Ellis (NASA Ames), Matthew Lombard and Theresa Ditton (Temple
University).

If you plan to attend, please register by March 19th.

Some registrations will be accepted after March 19th, but we need to
confirm final numbers with the conference venue soon after the 19th -

workshop if you register by 5 p.m. (GMT) on March 19th.
