RESPONSIBLE FOR:  Multimedia and Web Authoring short courses

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To compliment existing staff in the delivery of
training and development opportunities in the areas of  Multimedia, Web
Authoring and Computer Graphics
---------------------------------

We are seeking applicants from appropriately qualified professionals, newly
qualified or experienced, who wish to develop a career using the latest
Computing technologies.  You should have experience in some or all of  the
following :

HTML and Authoring Packages
Macromedia Director
Flash
Java
CGI Scripts
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
3D Studio Max
Digital Sound and Video Editing
Databases

You should be able to demonstrate some experience of using digital media
within creative contexts and be enthusiastic about developing new
opportunities in this area.

You should have good communications skills and be confident in working with
people at all levels including delivery of modules within the National
Diploma and HNC/HND range of courses. An attractive package of salary and
training is available including teacher training.

Ref: (E) 378 Programme Leader (IT)
Salary : Up to £24,000 pa.
The Post
We require a motivated and innovative person to lead this established
curriculum area, and to oversee the development and delivery of GNVQ IT at
all levels.  You will also be required to teach on HNC programmes within the
Telematics department.
The Person
Applicants should hold a degree in Computing/IT and ideally a higher degree
in these areas. Your proven teaching record will ideally be supported by
relevant industrial experience and excellent administrative and
organisational skills
