Dear Peter,
Thank you for your e-mail concerning the next MELCOM (U.K.)
meeting in January. I am hoping to be able to attend, but have not
asked for permission to do so yet. There is a through train both
ways between Leeds and Oxford, so I hope that the weather is kind
to us on that day. Could I suggest that we discuss the impending
RSLP Arabic/Persian project, please?
Last academic year we filled 22 metres of shelving with new Arabic
books, many of them multi-volume works, partly filling gaps in our
Medieval Arabic holdings or buying up-to-date editions of some
classical and Quranic works. There are many Arab postgraduates
studying in the Arabic Department at present.
Trusting that I shall be able to see you next millennium.
Yours sincerely,
Malcolm
