Project Manager - Library Information Services

>Short term contract or secondment for 3 months
>Salary Range £16,250 - £24,500 pro-rata

>An opportunity that has become available on a short-term basis to complete
a project on the co-ordination of libraries in the new NHS Eastern Region.
>
>The aim of the project is to produce a business case for a library and
information Service (LIS) co-ordination unit for the NHS Eastern Region with
the overall outcomes of the project ideally being:
>
>· A critical review of present LIS in the Eastern region
>· Identification of all stakeholders in LIS in the Eastern region
>· Identification of funding sources
>· A critical review of good practice in existing LIS co-ordination units
>· A report containing a full range of options which will form the basis of
a business case
>
>The position will be offered as a short-term contract (3 months) or
secondment within the Regional Office based either at the Eastern Regional
Office in Milton Keynes or at the East Anglian Deanery in Cambridge. The
option of working from home will also be considered.
>
>Candidates will ideally be degree qualified with experience in project
management, writing of reports and preparation of business cases, ideally
obtained in the LIS sector. A professional library qualification would be an
advantage. A knowledge of healthcare library and information services and an
awareness of NHS structure and functions and current policies.
>
