Greetings!
I know that this term covers a multitude of different set-ups, but I wonder
if any of you would like to comment on good ways to set them up in the
context of a district general hospital. It is our IT department who are
interested.
They are looking particularly at self-directed learning (subjects and skills
yet to be defined, but largely PC skills, I think) for clinicians. This
should be available at all times in a specific place (though I'm not sure
why the network can't be planned to offer those facilities as well...)
I'm aware that such centres have been set up in parallel with libraries in
some hospitals, with some unfortunate effects, but I'd like to find a
positive way of working with such a service if I can.
All hints or contacts gratefully received (I've got the big folder from the
Enabling People people already)
