Person to person
20 April, LAHQ, London
Assertive behaviour has been hailed as one of the most important skills in
the workforce of the 1990s. The ability to put forward ideas in a way that
is effective, while having regard for the needs of others is increasingly
important in all our dealings with other people, whether they be managers,
colleagues or customers.
How will this event help you?
It will help you to recognise assertive behaviour and identify when it is
appropriate. It will also allow you to practise specific skills such as
giving feedback - positive and negative, learning how to say no and dealing
with conflict and aggression.
By the end of the day you will have:
* examined your own and others behaviour in particular situations
* explored what assertiveness is and why it is increasingly important
* considered effective ways to deal with difficult behaviour
* increased your skills and self-confidence in a supportive and
confidential environment
* exchanged ideas and approaches.
