Sarah,
At Staffordshire University we offer a 10 credit
Information Skills module (it includes, library
orientation, catalogue searching, constructing effective
search strategies, web searching, basic IT skills,
evaluation of sources and creating a bibliography) which we
are currently migrating to a 'virtual learning environment'
- COSE (a JISC funded project developed jointly by Staffs
University and Warwick) which is a web based tool.
You can see our Module Handbook (not the VLE)at
http://www.staffs.ac.uk/services/library_and_info/infoskills/infoskills.html
I must stress this is ONLY the Handbook it is not
the VLE itself.
If you would like more information let me know.
Regards,
Geoff
